REW was always around the circus when it came to town. He had a great affinity for the famous Hanneford family of bare-back riders. So much so that he illustrated them many times. Poodles and his daughter Gracie Hanneford, who became good friends of REW. Here the duo are seen during a rehearsal on of the dappled draft horses that REW loved so much. 13" x 8" on Strathmore card stock. Signed on the upper right in his earlier signature, "R. Weaver."
